My teaching goal is to use student-centered, inclusive teaching pedagogies to foster critical thinking, offer students opportunities to acquire new academic skills, and bring an international perspective to students’ thinking.

I was a Graduate Fellow at Futures Initiative from 2018 to 2020, advocating student-centered pedagogy and structuring equality in the classroom. I was a Writing-Across-Curriculum Fellow at Kingsborough Community College. Through this fellowship, I realize the importance of incorporating informal and formal writings throughout teaching process and let students clarify thinking through various forms of writing. I also love to incorporate digital and media tools into my classroom, such as the usage of the interactive mapping tools and short documentaries for students to visually understand sociological concepts.
